Goofy's Beach Club Breakfast — nautical fun at the Yacht & Beach Club
If you've been shut out of 'Ohana, Cinderella's Royal Table, or Topolino's, Cape May Cafe is your character dining safety net — and it's a genuinely good one. It's consistently the easiest character breakfast to book at Disney World, it often has availability within the week before a trip, and the character lineup is solid. Don't treat it as a consolation prize. Treat it as the smart choice when you're booking late or for last-minute additions to your trip.
Cape May Cafe occupies a bright, nautical-themed space in Disney's Beach Club Resort — all navy and white stripes, weathered wood, and New England coastal details. The restaurant transforms at night into one of Disney's best seafood clambake dinners, but in the morning it becomes Goofy's Beach Club Breakfast, hosting Goofy, Donald, Minnie, and occasionally Mickey in their beachwear.
The Beach Club and its sister property, the Yacht Club, sit adjacent to EPCOT's International Gateway entrance — which makes Cape May Cafe a natural anchor for EPCOT days. Breakfast here, then walk through the back gate into EPCOT before the main crowds arrive from the front entrance. It's one of the cleanest theme park day strategies available at Disney World.
The star of the show, and perfectly at home at a beach-themed breakfast. Goofy in swim trunks, a beach hat, and sunglasses is peak Goofy energy — clumsy, enthusiastic, and completely invested in the beach day he's clearly having the time of his life at. His table visits are reliably hilarious and physical.
Donald in beach attire is perpetually overheated and slightly irritated by everything the beach involves — sunscreen, sand, sunburns. The cast members in this role lean into his comic frustration with the vacation setting in ways that are genuinely funny for adults watching alongside their children.
Minnie in her beach outfit — polka dots, of course — is warm, enthusiastic, and genuinely charming. She's an excellent character for young children who want gentle, unhurried interactions, and her beach costume is a uniquely available look that autograph book collectors specifically seek out.
One of the best reasons to book Cape May Cafe is the access it gives you to the Beach Club's amenities while you're there. Stormalong Bay — the shared pool complex between the Beach Club and Yacht Club — is one of Disney World's finest resort pools. It's not accessible to day guests, but if you arrive for breakfast and want to extend your morning, the resort's lobby, grounds, and lagoon access are all open to dining guests. The Beach Club grounds are beautiful, and the short walk along the water to EPCOT's International Gateway afterward makes for an exceptionally pleasant morning.
